From 1042 this Manor House belonged to King Edward the Confessor and after the Battle of Hastings in 1066 it became the property of William The Conqueror until 1084. Underneath the Manor House there is much evidence of the origin of the site....

Nottingham Ghost Hunt Experience - Special - NEW for 2009
Ever wanted to visit two spooky locations in one night? Now you can have the ultimate experience with Haunted Happenings. We have two special nights in January 2009. Our first date on the 17th January takes us to the sinister Galleries of Justice and the Caves of Nottingham, both steeped in history and intense paranormal activity. On the 31st January, we are investigating the creepy Wollaton Hall after which we will move on to the very intense atmosphere of the Salutation Inn and venturing into the caves below.
